This six-storey student residence in Oshawa, Ontario, was built by Campus Development Oshawa Corp., with precast work completed in 2020. Designed with both function and visual impact in mind, the building features angled exterior precast wall panels that create a dynamic zig-zag appearance. On the interior, the second-floor walkway includes large precast solid slabs cut on angles to enhance dimension and serve as a bold architectural feature. Combining residential living with academic functionality, the first floor includes classrooms and study halls, requiring wide open spaces and clear spans made possible by large precast beams—some weighing over 80,000 lbs. The result is a total precast building that balances design, strength, and utility in a modern campus setting.

Constructed by Campus Development Oshawa Corp., this six-storey student residence in Oshawa, Ontario, was completed in 2020 using total precast construction. The project includes 54,000 square feet of hollowcore floor slabs, over 4,200 square feet of solid precast slabs, and 51,000 square feet of precast wall panels. Additional elements such as beams, columns, stairs, landings, and 220 linear feet of precast bleachers were also integrated. The design required large precast beams exceeding 80,000 lbs to achieve wide clear spans on the first floor, which houses classrooms and study areas. Together, these components form a durable, efficient, and architecturally striking student residence.
